About Me

Marielle Richardson began her dance training at five years old at California Dancer Studio in Riverside, CA. She is a well-rounded dancer with training and experience in dance genres, such as tap, jazz, ballet, pointe, hip hop, modern, contemporary dance, musical theater, and some West African and Latin dance forms. Richardson has been teaching and choreographing in several of these genres to both children and adults since 2005. She attended Riverside City College and then transferred to California State University, Long Beach, where she received her BFA degree in 2014. Richardson moved to South Carolina where she taught at Beaufort Academy of Dance while working as a collaborator for the dance company Dance Matters in Charleston. Marielle volunteered for the local organization Child Abuse Prevention Association (CAPA) as a dance teacher and performer for their annual fundraiser Dancing with Our Stars in 2019, 2020, and 2022. Currently, she is attending Florida State University pursuing her MFA in dance with ambitions of continuing to teach in higher education. Her work, Accumulating Parts, was recently showcased in the 2025 ACDA Southeastern Conference and was chosen for the Gala performance, which meant her work was being considered for the 2025 National Festival Conference. Upon graduation, Richardson looks forward to assisting dancers of all levels in furthering their dance education and growing in their artistry.
